The recent passing of my father has taken precedence over my "on the street protesting". I have been able to keep blogging, but it is hard having to miss protesting in front of Chase Bank so I can take care of family emergencies that are coming up on a daily basis. My mother lost her sister and her husband within a month of each other, and I am not trying to save our cute little shitszu that has horrible skin itchiness, she is literally scratching herself to death.
Instead of protesting yesterday, I spent that time immersing our dog in slightly warm water for 30 minutes, then did the SebaLyt shampoo treatment for several more minutes, then rinsed, and dried. Her fur never looked better, but the skin underneath was still red.
I took the dog with me to mail a bill and then on the way back, a family friend would look at her to give me some advice. By the way, it's a bill that had the payment date moved up 10 days, and I've asked three months in a row to have the date moved back to where it was for the past 6 years. It's not a Chase Bill, it's a non credit card company fuel bill adopting "sinister old school" tactics that many credit card companies dropped several years ago.
These evil billing tactics include giving something like 10-14 days time to pay the bill from the date they actually mail the bill to me. This company has also changed the payment address to across the country, before it used to be in my state. This is really evil stuff, especially when they keep telling me that they will change due date back to the old date, and never do.
So I took the dog with me to the Post Office (Daily-Protest sign in the back window) and then to show to a family friend who has dealt with similar skin problems with her dog. I also bought some vegetarian dog food. The dog won't eat it. I heard the dog start to scratch in the middle of the night and I put her on my lap. She slept fine for several hours that way. When I woke up and left the room, she managed to scratch herself so much, it was as if to make up for the time she lost while sleeping on my lap.
The dreaded prednisone treatment seems to be the only recommendation to reduce skin itchiness that actually works, but over the long haul will shorten a dog's life. So will all the scratching.
You can help promote the protest against Chase Bank by making a daily-protest.com sign and posting it where people will see it. Just be careful that the sign won't blow into traffic, doesn't have sharp edges, or doesn't distract people or obstruct their view. The back window of a PARKED CAR in a busy supermarket market can prove very effective, but please DO NOT DRIVE OR BACK UP with the sign in the back window, not even for one second. But if you work in a store, just leaving a Daily-Protest sign in your backwindow for that time period will help this site get hits.
There is no advertising on this site so the hits are not a ploy to make money.
Places to put such a sign include bulletin boards, store front windows, or a bumper sticker. Even a workplace countertop can work, just get permission if it isn't your space. lol, you can also try protesting in front of a Chase Bank near you, but the other ways may prove just as effective.
