What if Judges waived all interest rate charges on all of their debt settlement cases? Would not waiving fees, penalties and interest rate charges motivate the banks to try and use incentives to get consumers to pay down their debts?

If someone has a 10,000 dollar credit card debt, and judges don't include any additional fees, penalties, or interest rate charges, isn't the bank going to be a LOT MORE HELPFUL in getting that person to pay down their actual debt BEFORE taking them to court?

It is the lure of the penalties, the fees, the interest rate charges that is preventing bankers from being human beings. Since Bankers can't help themselves, and will only do the helpful thing when all other choices are taken away, why don't you judges just start warning the bankers and collection agencies that you WILL NOT accept any late fees, penalties, annual renewal fees or interest rate charges onto any judgement that is going to be made in your courtroom?

This country was founded by formerly indentured servants who came to america to pay off their debts. It is not a far stretch to break the bank of tyranny by removing the biggest tool of enslavement, ongoing interest rate charges, fees and penalties that the debtor can no longer afford to pay.

There is no dishonor in paying back what is owed, minus the fees, penalties, and interest rate charges, especially in times of economic pestilence.
