LOOK AT HOW FAR CHASE BANK HAS FALLEN.

WARNING, this link is for a Chase Bank Ad. I just want to highlight how far Chase Bank has fallen. Once again, Chase Bank is enticing people to sign up for a NEW CREDIT CARD and INTRODUCTORY ZERO interest rates even as they continue to STAIN and DEFAULT the good name of hundreds of thousands of their best customers. Chase Bank is INCREASING the MONTHLY MINIMUM PAYMENT BY 150% ABOVE and BEYOND what THEIR NEVER LATE PAYING CUSTOMERS WILL BE FORCED TO PAY.

What is even sadder is that right in the ad it says that the length of time one gets the zero percent rate will depend on their credit rank. Huh? Chase Bank is going to tell someone they have stinky credit even as they give them a credit card??? Yet Chase Bank is scolding other established customers who have never been late on their payments by raising their monthly minimum payment to the point where they will default?

Who are these Chase Bank clowns and why are they not in jail or at least charged with treason against law abiding U.S. Citizens? Is Chase Bank reaping greater profits by defaulting their own customers then they are by just being a good, upstanding bank?

HOW YOU CAN HELP, MAKE A DAILY-PROTEST.com sign and put it where others will see it. A Daily-Protest.com sign in a storefront window, a bulletin board at work, or a countertop can raise curiosity and awareness about how Chase Bank is harming a LOT of of their BEST customers.

Los Angeles Times Liz Pulliam Weston, Credit Card Industry apologist and apparently proud of it, and no way to contact her either!

What absolutely trashy and incorrect information Liz Pulliam Weston doles out on a regular basis for the Los Angeles Times about credit cards in her money talk column.

I feel badly for anybody who writes this person expecting to get some kind of help. Even worse is the realization nothing will come of it but an explanation as to why the credit card companies can do what they want, and you can't do anything about it.

What makes the answer so horrible is that Ms. Weston is basically saying that a credit card company can offer a customer a 3.99 life of the loan offer, and even though the actual monthly interest rate can climb to 10% once the 10 dollar a month fee is added in, that somehow this is entirely legal.

lol, as most of us know, Chase bank rescinded the 10 dollar a month fee specifically because on their own billing system it showed the 3.99 interest rate had suddenly jumped to a much higher rate depending on how much balance still remained to be paid.  The lower the remaining balance, the higher the overall interest rate would jump up to.

Sadly, the LA times has chosen to insulate Ms. Weston from all forms of informational responses.  Not only can Ms. Weston make incorrect statements in her article, nobody can contact her or comment on her articles in an effort to explain that which she does not understand.

Nice job LA times. How is that Chase Bank advertising money flowing in these days?  It sure looks like it must be coming in nice and steady for you to put out disinformation that protects the credit card companies.

Nowhere does Liz  Pulliam Weston mention the idea of opting out of the credit card agreement after Chase Bank has changed the terms.  Liz Pulliam Weston also does not mention that Chase Bank DID NOT ALLOW the customer the right to opt out of this change in terms in her column by ignoring the concept of opting out all together!

Lies that protect illegal banking methods while trying to mollify the reader into accepting anything unethical that the banking community attempts to do is a horrible, filthy way the Los Angeles Times has chosen to fill it's newspaper space with.

DAY-16 CHASE BANK PROTEST, Paying respects to my Father.

I had recently second guessed myself that maybe a couple of years ago my dad should have had chemotherapy. However, in 2007 his first BONE SCAN had just come back negative. Looking at the picture of my father up above from around that time my dad still looked like his prostate cancer was just not advancing that fast.

My father at least one other bone scan several months later. and it was negative, yet his prostate cancer was actually advancing to other places, everywhere but his bones. Yet we never told that other tests might have given us a better understanding of his cancer was advancing.

I only recently learned that CAT SCANS, not Bone Scans are more expensive and more definitive in tracking how far and fast prostate cancer has actually spread outside of the prostate but not reached the bones. However, that does not necessarily mean that one can treat prostate cancer and stop it once it has left the prostate even if it is detected earlier.

It is actually possible that if my father had been given chemo when he was still a robust man 2 years ago that maybe it would have knocked him and the cancer down, temporarily, and then the cancer would have roared back and did him in anyways, with the additional issue of him feeling bad from the time he got his chemo until his eventual demise.

Fair Warning, bone scans may reveal no cancer in the bones yet the prostate cancer is still steadily advancing towards other organs such as the liver, colon, or lungs. It is possible that watchful waiting may produce a better, as good, or worse result than chemotherapy. If anybody has their own experience with a family member they want to share, please do so. Everybody's situation is different. Maybe the doctors did us favor by only focusing on Bone Scans, I just don't know.

Chase Bank Protest, Day-8. When I don't Make it Out to Protest Some Days, it's because I am taking care of my Dad as best I can.

(Edit note - Although my dad's face looks yellowish in this picture, it turns out that the digital still camera I am using apparently has "gone yellow" a couple of times when it is first turned on. It was also the afternoon when I took that picture and the light coming in was bouncing off of some creme colored blinds. In other words, my dads actual skin tone still looked "normal"  to my eye when I took that picture but the picture shows up as yellowish on his face.)

My Chase Bank Protest, Day-8, was spent watching over my ill father who is under home hospice care. I could not leave him today, even under the care of anyone else, because he has a persistent hiccup and he is not able to down any liquids. When I protest, my dad is waiting for me to come home and be with him for the few days he has left.

My Dad has been a tough man his whole life. Friendly, but with his own earnest set of beliefs. One of my Dad's beliefs has been, "Keep your word". In this past year, many people didn't keep their word to my Dad. The local dentist who never made his top denture right and then tried to charge another 500 dollar lab fee.

The dental Insurance program for seniors in California is another example of how seniors are ripped off by offering such an attractive plan, that the dentists will upsell seniors with unnecessary work, or not do the work at all.

Even Rite Aid doesn't honor their 20% off first Tuesday of the month for seniors at all of their stores. I witnessed all of this disrespecting of my dad as I took him and my mother to all of their appointments and their store visits as well.

But before this past year, my dad lived a very full life. Even after he retired my dad had his victory garden that he started while still working, and then flourished the garden even more when he retired. Dad would send dried figs to our relatives in other states (and his dried figs are delicacies).

One year mom and dad grew ample tomatoes from our own California backyard so that we could can and have tomato sauce all year long. Orange trees that gave enough for orange juice for most of the year. Artichokes, Swiss Chard, lettuce, Fava Beans, cucumbers, eggplant, all of this on less than a 1/5th of an acre, did I mention the lemon, grapefruit, tangerine, parsimmons, and even Chedro grafted onto an existing lemon tree. A nirvana of fruit trees all on a 1/5th of an acre.

There are tens of thousands of stories turned tragedy because of what the credit card companies are doing. How many of them will actually be told by the media?

-----------------------------------------

Chase Banks arrogance in thinking they can unilaterally change terms while giving their customers no choice motivates me to stop them before they infect other corporate giants into thinking they too can be way above the law. My Dad's prostate cancer has taken over his body, meanwhile Chase's banking actions are taking over the lives of hundreds of thousands of people, stealing their time as they try and pay Chase money that Chase does not need, and money that they are illegally demanding.

Every day I have to choose, do I apportion some of my precious time spent with my father towards my Chase Protest, or do I not protest, not even for an hour a day, so that I can be with my father all of his remaining time.

Thanks Chase, thanks for being every bit as evil as the cancer that runs through my dads body.

Day Seven of Chase Bank Protest in Southern California, A Recap of the Entire Week.

Today was Easter and the day was spent with my elderly parents. I wasn't sure how protesting on Easter would come off. It seems like the kind of day people would just be chilling and if they see some guy protesting about Chase bank it might not go over as well as on practically any other day.

Anyways, I plan on doing a "make-up" hour tomorrow for today.

I also want to take a moment and recall five people that I interacted with this past week during my protests. The first was Klaus. I really don't get what he was about. It seems a lot of what he said wasn't true. He said that the employees at the former WAMU at 6633 Topanga Canyon that was now a Chase Bank liked working for Chase better, and that they were paid better. Yet the Chase Bank at 6400 Platt Ave. in West Hills claims that there were no raises of any kind when Chase took over. hmmmm. Klaus seemed to not listen to me when we spoke, he seemed to have all of his answers pre-made and if I asked him a question he sort of went back to his talking points, which actually had nothing to do with the purpose of my protest.

There was the local tow truck company that had a metal gate that made it easy to hand my Daily-Protest.com sign on his fence. However, probably because I didn't ask him first, he was kind of snippy when he came out, a bit rude as well. I didn't have the desire to tell him that our family had used his companies services in the past. Rather, I felt sorry for the guy. He's trying to protect what his without realizing that what Chase is doing with their credit cards will cost him business. The Owner comes out to give me a piece of his mind as I was taking this picture of the rainbow. Even one of his employees was snippy as he left. I think I recognized him as being one of the tow truck drivers that had actually towed a one of our cars home in the past. Luckily, the positive responses and interest far outweigh the occasional anti-protest no mattter what the protest is mentality that seems to reside in a small percentage of the population.

Then there was Chas, a younger gentleman who hates the government and wants to see it changed for the better. His friend held the Daily-Protest.com sign while we talked. He had actually walked by me the day before at another location, but that prior non-contact sort of nudged him into noticing me the second time around. Everything lays the foundation for future things. Success is usually built in steps.

MIke took the time to stop and park his car, talk, and even call a friend who also was angry at Chase, but for an entirely different reason. Mike's friend claims that WAMU was stolen by Chase for literally pennies on the dollar, which resulted in WAMU share holders getting royally ripped off. If this is true, then this just makes Chase's action against their best paying customers that much more reprehensible. Apparently, the head of the SEC is now running Chase. I am trying to recall if this person is cushy with the Barack Obama camp. This is starting to smell big time.

Finally, a rather skittish woman walking a poodle came by on Saturday at the Studio City rally. She hurriedly walked by me and make a snide remark that I didn't know what I was talking about. I said I didn't as she walked away, her poodle leading the way. I proceeded to tell her that I did know what I was talking about, that I was direct recipient of Chase's actions, and that 14 class action lawsuits had already been filed.

As I walked away she turn from being a third of the way across ventura blvd and came back and attempted to discuss the issue with me. The problem was she apparently was very rattled that I was even out there at all. Her friend had told her that something was up with Chase but she wasn't sure what it was. Perhaps she thought her own Chase mortgage or some other financial product was going to increase and she clearly would not be able to handle it.

When she found it was a credit card situation, she seemed a bit relieved, apparently she had jumped to a conclusion that I was out there for another reason. Of course it was her choice to not just ask me what my protest was about, and not to check ot the website address and learn. Remember what I previously wrote about divide and conquer strategy. Take out small groups of people at a time, and all the other groups are relieved it was not them that was target. The groups that already have been ripped off and nobody came to help them, they then smugly watch and do nothing as they see others get the same illegal treatment they got. That is called divide and conquer.

Anyways, the lady claimed my message wasn't clear. I asked her to come up with a four word slogan that is as easy to understand as
CHASE, KEEP YOUR WORD! as she walked away with her dog. She probably would have tried coming up with something and telling me on her way back, but I decided to leave as I had put over two hours already and I have other commitments that need ongoing, daily attention. I think my one two punch of a four word slogan, and the second sign having a website on it is a very effective way to raise awareness.

If Chase really want to accelerate money from consumers coming back into the bank, just give some incentives to customers rather than using heavy handed tactics such as unilaterally forcing customers to suddenly come up with 250 percent more in payments every month.
