DAY-22, CHASE BANK PROTEST, TOPANGA CANYON & VENTURA BLVD, WOODLAND HILLS, CA. LESS THAN 100 FEET AWAY FROM ME WAS A KNBC TELEVISION NEWS TRUCK.

Today was Day-22 of my Chase Bank Protest. I was in Woodland Hills, California by Ventura Blvd. and Topanga Canyon. It is kind of a strange location to protest at. The intersection is very busy. People were looking at my sign and nodding and giving me the thumbs up, but unlike other less busy locations, only a few of these same thumbs up people would also honk their horns.

My theory is that because it is such a busy area motorists are reluctant to use their horn unless a driver is napping when the light turns green.

I also saw a few strange occurrences near and around the intersection of Ventura Blvd and Topanga Canyon. A mobile Dent removal service that shows up on location to fix your car dent. I asked to take a picture of them fixing the car dent for this blog report but they politely refused.  

Can you imagine being the guy that runs over a person, then calls a service that will come out and fix the evidence in daylight in a busy parking lot!  Anyways, I didn't take any pictures nor do I remember the name of the service, but I am surprised a "service" like that probably goes unregulated. yeesh.  Nice, polite people however and I have no idea whose car they were taking the dent out.

I also saw a very funny scene that I embellished into a beer commercial script. Too bad I don't believe in beer commercial advertising. Oh well.  And then there was the KNBC News Truck pictured above.

CLICK ON IMAGE TO ENLARGE.  I first arrived to protest at around 5:20 pm and stopped around 6:35pm. The area was so loud with traffic that I probably blended in and either went unnoticed or the news truck personnel just didn't care.  At one point I was just 20 or 30 feet away walking along Ventura Blvd when a couple of cars started honking their support at my signs. (Chase Bank, Keep Your Word).

However, I'm not a pirate, don't know Obama's puppy, am not the craigslist killer, nor am I protesting taxes. I am protesting Chase Bank and the credit card industries horrible credit card practices. 

Over the past month I have noticed a ton of Chase Bank commercials all over the dial in Southern California, so I'm not holding my breathe for publicity from the same channels that are profiting handsomely from Chase Bank commercials running on their stations. I later googled to see if I could find out why KNBC was there, but I could not find any related story for that particular location.

I don't think I picked up very many hits today from my protesting, much less than some of the other locations I have picketed at lately. Even the people that honked and nodded and thumbs upped me didn't look like they understood they could support this site by bookmarking it, visiting often, and spreading the word.

I'll probably go elsewhere tomorrow for my one hour daily protest.

DAY-16 CHASE BANK PROTEST, Paying respects to my Father.

I had recently second guessed myself that maybe a couple of years ago my dad should have had chemotherapy. However, in 2007 his first BONE SCAN had just come back negative. Looking at the picture of my father up above from around that time my dad still looked like his prostate cancer was just not advancing that fast.

My father at least one other bone scan several months later. and it was negative, yet his prostate cancer was actually advancing to other places, everywhere but his bones. Yet we never told that other tests might have given us a better understanding of his cancer was advancing.

I only recently learned that CAT SCANS, not Bone Scans are more expensive and more definitive in tracking how far and fast prostate cancer has actually spread outside of the prostate but not reached the bones. However, that does not necessarily mean that one can treat prostate cancer and stop it once it has left the prostate even if it is detected earlier.

It is actually possible that if my father had been given chemo when he was still a robust man 2 years ago that maybe it would have knocked him and the cancer down, temporarily, and then the cancer would have roared back and did him in anyways, with the additional issue of him feeling bad from the time he got his chemo until his eventual demise.

Fair Warning, bone scans may reveal no cancer in the bones yet the prostate cancer is still steadily advancing towards other organs such as the liver, colon, or lungs. It is possible that watchful waiting may produce a better, as good, or worse result than chemotherapy. If anybody has their own experience with a family member they want to share, please do so. Everybody's situation is different. Maybe the doctors did us favor by only focusing on Bone Scans, I just don't know.

Daily-Protest.com is pleased to discover that others are providing a link to this blog in the comments section of articles about the credit card industry. Maybe some writers will see that it is ok to be brave and truthful about how wrong the credit card industry by raising interest rates, especially on their programs that promised life of the credit card loan low interest rate loans.

I won't be able to start protesting against Chase Bank until Wednesday, April 22, 2009 because my father's funeral is on Tuesday. However, I plan on coming back strong.

DAY - SIX, JP MORGAN CHASE BANK PROTEST AT 12051 VENTURA BLVD, STUDIO CITY.

12051 Ventura Blvd in Studio City is a very busy place. A lot of people go by this Chase Bank location and at on point the Daily-Protest stat counter found 21 out of 22 Daily-Protest hits were from California, (no addresses are listed by the stat counter, just cities), clearly people are interested in what Chase Bank is up to here in California. At least 8 of the hits were from I-Phones, perhaps the passengers in the cars are actually taking a moment to check out Daily-Protest.com right then and there.

With each passing day, as more and more people receive their Chase statements with the 250% increase in the monthly minimum, awareness of what the banks are doing will only grow. The more hits this blog receives, the more Chase will become aware of the hornets next they themselves started.

The more people that join my protest, the more likely that Chase will back down. It would take nothing more than a daily vigil in which people protest in one hour shifts at one Chase Bank, to make a lasting difference and reversal to what Chase has already done.

Besides myself, there were a couple of dozen protestors, all protesting different causes. Apparently a newstruck came out prior to my arrival and decided to label the entire protest "Republican". My personal belief is that my protest will protect democrats, republicans, independents and greens.

I believe the April 15th nationwide protests should not focus on our president but rather focus on how the banks are trying to earn back their losses much too quickly and in the process are harming hundreds of thousands of trustworthy americans.
