One of my worries about the complacency of americans over the credit card scandal is that whatever miserable treatment americans accept will still be better than what happens elsewhere. As credit card companies do horrible things like go back on their previous promises in the United States, their behavior in other parts of the world will be even worse.

Overall, Chase Bank has really been the worst in my book. One time Citibank tricked my father into accepting a 6 month low interest rate offer when I had instructed him to wait for a life of the loan deal like he previously had (and mistakenly balance transferred elsewhere). Another time an AMEX phone sales person switched me to a delta sky miles card while promising THREE TIMES my interest rate would not change (it did, upwards of course),

Citibank in India seems to be doing at least one not nice thing as stated in this complaint.

Of course a customer should be allowed to set the actual number of the day each month they want to pay their bill. Of course a credit card customers should not be forced to pay before their first paycheck arrives for that month, thereby leading to a default and no doubt a much higher interest rate.

And picking up a payment from the person's home, on a Sunday, in front of family members, huh??? Come Citibank, you can do better than that, you should be proud to be better than Chase Bank Credit Card, and it is not that hard either.

DAY-27, CHASE BANK PROTEST - name one CELEBRITY that has publicly chastized Chase Bank or the Credit Card Industry.

Have you heard or seen any celebrity, any famous person, anybody person of note, say anything about what the credit card companies are currently doing to the american people? Has anybody of prominence questioned the logic of reducing the spending capacity of millions of americans while also raising interest rates on their credit cards, when they should at the very least be lowering the interest rate?

It's so simple. Cut people's credit lines if you must, but accompany that cut with LOWER INTEREST RATES, NOT HIGHER.

If you have heard of any famous person railing against the credit card industry, PLEASE respond to this topic and provide a link. If you have not heard a celebrity railing against the credit card industry, then maybe any "change" that is going to happen, is going to have start with people like you and me.

I know congress is making "changes" and passing legislation, but they have given the credit card companies a YEAR to wreak havoc on middle america, and the credit card companies have already done their damage.

Today I discovered that my original "Chase, Keep your Word" sign gets more attention at the same location than my more "mobile" protest signs that I had used yesterday. People came up to me to ask what was going on. I think if I stay at this location for a few more days that more and more people will ask what is going on, or check out the website, and get involved.

I think what is starting to happen is that people who actually turn into the large parking lot on a daily basis will take the time to walk up to me and learn more, at least that is what happened today.

When people ask what is going on, I quickly mention the 250% increase in the monthly minimum payment, and that there is no opt out option. It is the no opt out aspect that usually makes people shake their heads in disbelief. They can't believe that in a civilized society of rules and laws that banks can change terms, and not allow the customer any say in the matter. 

People on the streets are turning out to be more reasonable, thoughtful, and fair, then the entire boardroom of Chase Bank.

When I next mention to those who stop by that AMEX, CitiBank, and American Airlines are conspiring to steal frequent flyer miles from AMEX customers so Citibank can trade them for better loan terms with American Airlines, people just can't believe that our government would let them down this way.  

Meanwhile Chase bank continues to run commercials around the clock on California television announcing their arrival in our state as if they have come to save us. GUFFAW! Chase Bank's advertising is possibly making the local television stations reluctant to publicize our growing revolt against Chase Bank and their credit card division for fear of losing their advertising dollars in this tight economy.

The Video above does not scale down in size far enough for me to post the entire image, however the audio is intact and you can hear the claim made that Chase offers opt out options to all of their clients even though they haven't done that with 400,000 of their best paying customers.

I can personally attest that less than one month ago Chase Bank refused to allow me to opt out after they increased the monthly minimum payment. Near the end of the youtube video below, Chase claims they allow customers to opt out. This is called a bold faced lie on national television.

One more thing. If we call the current monthly minimum payment one is making as making 100% of the required payment, than Chase actually jacked up the monthly minimum payment FROM 100% TO 250%, this is another way of explaining the increase rather than simply saying it was a 150% increase, which makes it sound like it was less than doubling the increase.

DAY-17 CHASE BANK PROTEST, making plans to gear up full speed again.

So Wednesday was a day of trying to figure out what to do next. Not just about my Chase Bank protest, but about my life and what career path I will take. I took care of my parents for the past 16 months, but I will be the first to say they took care of me even more.

Once dad stopped driving, I took him and mom everywhere, and I wish I could relive every one of those days.

I understand numbers very well. I want to be a paid gadfly, paid by the credit card industry, to tell them when their ideas are bad, or when they are OK.

Before taking care of my parents, I did video camera and editing work. Unless I could design my own non linear editing platform, (and I could design one that would be simple to use), I don't see myself editing anymore.

I think I have a pretty good eye for framing and lighting, so I may do digital still photography, but not for events such as weddings.

When it comes to the Credit Card Industry, I am concerned about the public display of glad handing that will be made by the politicians after they pass their credit card bill. However, there still will be no consumer advocate gadflies paid for by the credit card industry to balance out the boardroom greed that is ever present.

The media chose to talk about Pirates, Craigslist Killers, Child Abduction, Tea Party Protests, but they pretty much left alone the credit card industry, their theft of frequent flyer miles from the consumer, and the misery they are causing many many people by changing terms on existing debt.

I will not forget however, and I will continue my protest.

If there is no creation of a real consumer watchdog person or group, paid for by the credit card industry to watch over the credit card industry, we will fall short in what is good and right to do.

DAY-16 CHASE BANK PROTEST, Paying respects to my Father.

I had recently second guessed myself that maybe a couple of years ago my dad should have had chemotherapy. However, in 2007 his first BONE SCAN had just come back negative. Looking at the picture of my father up above from around that time my dad still looked like his prostate cancer was just not advancing that fast.

My father at least one other bone scan several months later. and it was negative, yet his prostate cancer was actually advancing to other places, everywhere but his bones. Yet we never told that other tests might have given us a better understanding of his cancer was advancing.

I only recently learned that CAT SCANS, not Bone Scans are more expensive and more definitive in tracking how far and fast prostate cancer has actually spread outside of the prostate but not reached the bones. However, that does not necessarily mean that one can treat prostate cancer and stop it once it has left the prostate even if it is detected earlier.

It is actually possible that if my father had been given chemo when he was still a robust man 2 years ago that maybe it would have knocked him and the cancer down, temporarily, and then the cancer would have roared back and did him in anyways, with the additional issue of him feeling bad from the time he got his chemo until his eventual demise.

Fair Warning, bone scans may reveal no cancer in the bones yet the prostate cancer is still steadily advancing towards other organs such as the liver, colon, or lungs. It is possible that watchful waiting may produce a better, as good, or worse result than chemotherapy. If anybody has their own experience with a family member they want to share, please do so. Everybody's situation is different. Maybe the doctors did us favor by only focusing on Bone Scans, I just don't know.

Chase Bank Protest - Day 11, Van Nuys Post Office on Sherman Way Pre-midnight and after midnight Protest against Chase Bank.

My father passed away this morning, now it was 12 hour later and at 11:30PM I was mailing my IRS payment at the Van Nuys station. Since I was already there, I decided to hold up my CHASE, KEEP YOUR WORD, protest sign along with my Daily-Protest.com sign for a while. It was a half hearted effort at best. I couldn't stop thinking about my Dad and my overwhelming guilt that I didn't slobber him with kisses and tell him how great a dad he had been.

I made sure not to clog last minute traffic. I had a very carthartic talk with the hospice driver who came to pick the bed, oxygen machine and wheelchair.

If you want to help keep the protest going over the next couple of days, please make a sign that says Daily-Protest.com and put it somewhere where it can be safely viewed and won't fall on anybody or into traffic. Make sure the sign doesn't have sharp edges either.

No matter where you live, if you put up a couple of signs in a storefront or a parked car that is visible to others (please don't drive with the sign in the back window as that could be risky), I might be able to track if I get any hits from your city and let you know not who, but how many hits you helped generate.

Chase Bank Protest-Day 10, My Dad Passes and it was painful for me.

My Father passed away yesterday. Even though I was with him most of the time over the past 2 months, I made a huge mistake and I will never forget it, and it hurts. I wanted to give him a ton of kisses to make up for the unnecessary guilt that others in our family had chosen to heap on him. However, I was afraid that by doing that, I would be telling him to die, that this was it. So I waited so as not to hasten his death.

He had to be changed that last night and he was so weak that he just sank into the air mattress. It took me half an hour to change him and I was so exhausted by then that I fell asleep sometime around 3 in the morning? When I woke up he was gone. I wanted him to know one final time how grateful I was for him and for being his son and to counter the stress, anxiety and guilt that he felt based on the narcissistic judgement by others of his life, and I failed.

My father thanked me several times over the past couple of months and said he wouldn't still be alive if not for my efforts. For me it was not an effort,I was grateful to be there when he needed a sip of water or had a special food craving, but I just wanted to him know one last time in no uncertain terms how much he meant to me.

A big part of my grief involved trying to file my nightly story for this blog even as he lay just three feet from me and was only hours away from dying. Filing my nightly stories is important to me because we have to fight back against paper violence. Paper violence is when some schmuck in a corporate board room makes a callous, uncalled for numerical decision that instantly causes grief and hardship to thousands of people, such as what Chase is doing with their Change in Terms on already existing agreements. These Change in terms involve raising monthly minimum fees 250%. Yet there was my father, and I blew it his final night and I am sitting here in tears as I write this.

As at peace that I am that I did everything for my father that I could, I feel I blew it the final night of his life, big time, and I blame Chase bank for that. I would protest 8 hours a day against Chase, every day, if I could earn a wage doing it. In the meantime, I will probably post less often over the next week as I prepare for my fathers funeral. Thanks Dad, thanks for my life and for you being in it.

The higher this blog goes in the stat rankings, the more people will be aware that the Credit Card Companies are putting a huge hurt on trustworthy customers. The more people who see this site, the more I can learn about the hardships that Chase Bank has put their customers through.  The biggest transgression by far committed by Chase bank is not allowing customers the right to opt out when the credit card company changes terms. 

When we add in that Citibank and other Credit Card Companies are all about to renege on existing promises and life of the loan low interest rate agreements, we are talking about the victimization of well over a million people, perhaps as many as 5 million people who are having their world turned upside down by a bunch of elite, Wall Street Snobs who think we can't assemble and fight them.

How can you help stop Chase bank and force them to reverse course? Besides the Credit Card Scandal already in motion, Chase's purchase of WAMU for literally a penny or two on the dollar must also be investigated.

Anybody recall the infamous California saying of the 80's, Welcome to California, (Chase), now go home.

Yesterday Early Evening Protest from 6:10 to 7:40 generated the most response from cars passing by. The Chase Bank located at 6400 Platt Ave. in West Hills, California appears to be a solid location for getting the community to look and learn. It is inevitable with each passing day that more of Chase's unethical and perhaps illegal 250% increase in the monthly minimum loan repayment bills are reaching their customers.

The shock of seeing a monthly minimum payment rise from two hundred dollars to five hundred dollars in these stifling economic times should be more than enough to get people involved by going to this website. If you can't protest, please, send a link to this website to your own personal email list.

The more people this website can make aware of Chase's unethical ways, the quicker Chase can be "changed" to a more civil and ethical policy.

If Chase wants to hire me as a consultant, I would gladly give a solution to the mess they have created that should make most people happier than what Chase has already implemented. I am a complete outsider, and that is what is needed to prevent the type of billing maliciousness and malfeasance that Chase is attempting to implement by lowering the standard of Credit Card to that of racketeering.

If Chase is not stopped, all the other major credit cards will follow! Citibank is now doing virtually the same thing as Chase!
