DAY-25 CHASE BANK PROTEST. I COULD NOT PROTEST TODAY. HAD TO GIVE OUR DOG A REALLY LONG BATH, HOWEVER...

CHASE OR MY CUTE FACE, CLICK HERE TO SEE ME EVEN LARGER.
I spent from 2:30am to 7:00am resizing  my Daily-Protest.com Blog. I first spent a couple of hours meticulously strategizing the proper width of each column and the middle column as well. I then had to resize every photo in the main column and in the far left column as well.

Should I really say I did not protest today when I spent five hours making this blog more presentable for those who check it out?

I also spent the afternoon caretaking our 13 year old shitszu. My time was spent cleaning her eyes, trimming back the hair from in front of her eyes, then a really long bath. I don't do the pour water over the dog routine. I actually keep our dog in a metal tub with lukewarm water so she is immersed completely except for her back and head.

She actually looks pretty good right now. However, within a day or two the itching will start again, followed by the bleeding. I hope she isn't suffering.

Doesn't she look good right now for 13 x 7 years, which equals 91 in human years. Kind of odd how I am leading a credit card revolution but I have to take time out for our dog. I also reinforced my Chase, Keep Your Word sign. It is really large and has developed some creases that make the sign bend in two whenever the wind blows.

So today was a reload day, hopefully tomorrow will be an on the street Chase Bank protest day.

DAY-24, CHASE BANK PROTEST. I COULD NOT PROTEST TODAY. CUDDILY SHITSZU NEEDED EYE MEDICATION BADLY.

My mother recently lost her husband of 53 years and her sister within a month of each other. Having her also lose her dog (and no thank you, she cannot have another one, the daily care is too much for her to handle) right now is something I am trying to forestall.

Our shitszu's eyes need care and the prior eye doctor refused to reorder her medication because California state law requires an in office visit every six months before a prescription can be given to an animal. Well, we can't afford a 150 to 300 dollar visit for our dog, we can come up with the medication money only.

A compromise solution from a new vet may have saved us and the dogs eyesite. However, I still must ask, Is Chase tougher than a 13 year old shitszu?  You betcha.

It is a shame that Sarah Palin can't break out of the current, republican platform that is too afraid to go against the biggest banks, no matter how hurtful their current credit card policies and practices are to the american people.

Even Arlen Specter saw the light and has changed sides, although not because of the credit card industry as the democrats are also afraid to go after Chase bank immediately and instead will wait until legislation passes. The problem is the credit card industry is doing a whole lot of damage "RIGHT NOW" to millions of americans credit scores with their unreasonable changes in terms.

DAY-23, CHASE BANK PROTEST. BACK to VENTURA BLVD. and TOPANGA CANYON. MY ORIGINAL CHASE BANK PROTEST SIGN REALLY GETS NOTICED.

Today I discovered that my original "Chase, Keep your Word" sign gets more attention at the same location than my more "mobile" protest signs that I had used yesterday. People came up to me to ask what was going on. I think if I stay at this location for a few more days that more and more people will ask what is going on, or check out the website, and get involved.

I think what is starting to happen is that people who actually turn into the large parking lot on a daily basis will take the time to walk up to me and learn more, at least that is what happened today.

When people ask what is going on, I quickly mention the 250% increase in the monthly minimum payment, and that there is no opt out option. It is the no opt out aspect that usually makes people shake their heads in disbelief. They can't believe that in a civilized society of rules and laws that banks can change terms, and not allow the customer any say in the matter.

People on the streets are turning out to be more reasonable, thoughtful, and fair, then the entire boardroom of Chase Bank.

When I next mention to those who stop by that AMEX, CitiBank, and American Airlines are conspiring to steal frequent flyer miles from AMEX customers so Citibank can trade them for better loan terms with American Airlines, people just can't believe that our government would let them down this way.

Meanwhile Chase bank continues to run commercials around the clock on California television announcing their arrival in our state as if they have come to save us. GUFFAW! Chase Bank's advertising is possibly making the local television stations reluctant to publicize our growing revolt against Chase Bank and their credit card division for fear of losing their advertising dollars in this tight economy.

DAY-22, CHASE BANK PROTEST, TOPANGA CANYON & VENTURA BLVD, WOODLAND HILLS, CA. LESS THAN 100 FEET AWAY FROM ME WAS A KNBC TELEVISION NEWS TRUCK.

Today was Day-22 of my Chase Bank Protest. I was in Woodland Hills, California by Ventura Blvd. and Topanga Canyon. It is kind of a strange location to protest at. The intersection is very busy. People were looking at my sign and nodding and giving me the thumbs up, but unlike other less busy locations, only a few of these same thumbs up people would also honk their horns.

My theory is that because it is such a busy area motorists are reluctant to use their horn unless a driver is napping when the light turns green.

I also saw a few strange occurrences near and around the intersection of Ventura Blvd and Topanga Canyon. A mobile Dent removal service that shows up on location to fix your car dent. I asked to take a picture of them fixing the car dent for this blog report but they politely refused.

Can you imagine being the guy that runs over a person, then calls a service that will come out and fix the evidence in daylight in a busy parking lot!  Anyways, I didn't take any pictures nor do I remember the name of the service, but I am surprised a "service" like that probably goes unregulated. yeesh.  Nice, polite people however and I have no idea whose car they were taking the dent out.

I also saw a very funny scene that I embellished into a beer commercial script. Too bad I don't believe in beer commercial advertising. Oh well.  And then there was the KNBC News Truck pictured above.

CLICK ON IMAGE TO ENLARGE.  I first arrived to protest at around 5:20 pm and stopped around 6:35pm. The area was so loud with traffic that I probably blended in and either went unnoticed or the news truck personnel just didn't care.  At one point I was just 20 or 30 feet away walking along Ventura Blvd when a couple of cars started honking their support at my signs. (Chase Bank, Keep Your Word).

However, I'm not a pirate, don't know Obama's puppy, am not the craigslist killer, nor am I protesting taxes. I am protesting Chase Bank and the credit card industries horrible credit card practices.

Over the past month I have noticed a ton of Chase Bank commercials all over the dial in Southern California, so I'm not holding my breathe for publicity from the same channels that are profiting handsomely from Chase Bank commercials running on their stations. I later googled to see if I could find out why KNBC was there, but I could not find any related story for that particular location.

I don't think I picked up very many hits today from my protesting, much less than some of the other locations I have picketed at lately. Even the people that honked and nodded and thumbs upped me didn't look like they understood they could support this site by bookmarking it, visiting often, and spreading the word.

I'll probably go elsewhere tomorrow for my one hour daily protest.

DAY-21 CHASE BANK PROTEST. Sprucing up Daily-Protest Header with Important Links.

On days that I cannot Protest in front of Chase Bank in person, I still spend a few hours either writing a new story about Chase Bank or improving Daily-Protest to make it easier and faster to learn about the most important stories.

Today was such a day.

I've added several of the most important stories that Daily-Protest has broken first, along with very important links, onto the header of Daily-Protest.  I still need your help however.  By posting your own handmade Daily-Protest.com sign on a bulletin board, a countertop, or a store window, you can help Daily-Protest reach thousands of people who don't know this site exists.

DAY-20 CHASE BANK PROTEST, Fontainebleau Las Vegas Files Lawsuit Against Chase Bank, Bank of America and friends.

Fountainbleu Las Vegas Casino Project Pictured Above, is now suing Chase Bank, Bank of America, and others for "bailing out" on their project in midstream.

Fountainebleu apparently secured 800 million in financing and the banks just backed out at the last minute. Construction crews and the manufacturers who supply them are now out of work, thousands of them.

It seems the credit card companies and banks will continue to hammer indentured credit card owners because they are easy, unaligned targets. Why invest in a construction project that creates jobs and stimulates not only the Vegas economy but several construction, manufacturing and service arms all over the country when it is easier to just run roughshod over existing credit card debtors by raising their credit card rates?

Heck, the banks will probably make a handsome profit by not stimulating local economies because that will create more and more families defaulting on credit card loans. Do you see how this works against families, and for the banks?

The banks can make more money in Las Vegas by keeping their own money, the government bailout money, and then waiting out everyone that is going to default on their credit card debt from lack of jobs. As banks starve out these kind of construction projects, it will result in an astronomically huge increase in credit card interest rates from around 8% or 9%, all the way up to 29.99 percent and even higher!

That much of a credit card interest rate spike literally makes credit card debtors indentured for life, causing credit defaults, until the banks just start taking away homeowners homes at pennies on the dollar.

If you don't have credit card debt, this still can affect you as the customers that make your business thrive suddenly are just treading water at 30 percent interest on their credit card debt. Now your customers have to choose between these ridiculous credit card paydown terms or buying something from your business.

As the banks thrive off of 30% credit card interest rate debt they also absorb more property defaults from those who couldn't find employment, just like what is happening in Vegas.

The less the banks do, the more money and property they acquire.  Credit Card interest rates should be dropping, now rising, as an incentive to banks to find long term loan deals that make them more money than credit card debt.

It is a myth that credit card companies are losing money from credit card debt, they are creating long term profit by defiling people's credit while also repossessing property.

DAY-19 CHASE BANK PROTEST, PEGGY from Pennsylvania lets Chase Bank have it on CNBC's "On The Money." Transcript below, Just how low can Chase Bank Go?

MEET PEGGY. READ HER CHASE BANK NIGHTMARE STORY BELOW

Peggy from Pennsylvania was on CNBC's "On the Money" earlier today talking about how Chase Bank has reneged on a promise of a 3.99 percent loan for the life of the loan agreement. Chase Bank continues to lie to congress and television by saying they did offer opt out options to their customers, when they deprived 400,000 of their most trustworthy customers the opt out option!

Peggy's family has so far survived a bout of cancer to one family member and a tumor scare to another member, but can they survive the Chase Bank "Change in Terms" policy that wreaks havoc on families that have never been late on their credit card payments?

Below is a Daily-Protest.com transcript exclusive of what Peggy had to say on CNBC's On the Money television show.
Peggy in Pennsylvania, you're up and you've got some credit card rage, talk to us.

Well, my husband and I have three businesses, he's an attorney, we own a bed and breakfast and we have more than 30 rental units, and for decades we have always paid every, every payment on time, never missed a payment.

In 2003 my husband got cancer, my son had a tumor, we we had huge medical bills and we still kept up with everything but in 2005 Chase Bank offered us a 38,000 dollar loan at 3.99% for the life of the loan, and we took it to consolidate some of the expenses we'd had in keeping our businesses afloat while he was sick.
CHASE BANK SHOWS HOW EAGER THEY ARE TO TURN MORE PROFIT BY BEATING UP ON THE ELDERLY, THE CANCER STRICKEN, AND THOSE WHO ARE NEVER LATE ON THEIR PAYMENTS.

Then after paying half of it off, um, in December (of 2008) we got a notice that there was a change in terms, and instead of paying 2% per month which was around 400 dollars in December.

Our January payment was a 1,025 dollars, because they were requiring 5% payment. And I called to opt out because every change in terms I'd ever seen on any credit card allows the customer to opt out, only to find out that Chase Bank is not allowing an opt out on this.

The only thing they offered me was if I wanted to more than double the interest rate they would take me back to the 2% interest per month which I was not willing to do. CHASE BANK CHANGES TERMS ON SIXTY YEAR OLD WOMAN AND HER CANCER STRICKEN FAMILY WITHOUT OFFERING AN OPT OUT OPTION.

Is there anything I can do after Chase testifies in front of congress that they offer an opt out, when they have a change in terms with no opt out for over 400,000 customers ???
------------------------------

Mary, I so want to see the credit card industry actually pay outsiders to keep them in line.

Special Thanks to Change in Terms for finding the CNBC ON the MONEY story. Click here to see the actual video.

DAY-18 CHASE BANK PROTEST - balancing everyday life with the protest is difficult.

The recent passing of my father has taken precedence over my "on the street protesting". I have been able to keep blogging, but it is hard having to miss protesting in front of Chase Bank so I can take care of family emergencies that are coming up on a daily basis. My mother lost her sister and her husband within a month of each other, and I am not trying to save our cute little shitszu that has horrible skin itchiness, she is literally scratching herself to death.

Instead of protesting yesterday, I spent that time immersing our dog in slightly warm water for 30 minutes, then did the SebaLyt shampoo treatment for several more minutes, then rinsed, and dried. Her fur never looked better, but the skin underneath was still red.

I took the dog with me to mail a bill and then on the way back, a family friend would look at her to give me some advice. By the way, it's a bill that had the payment date moved up 10 days, and I've asked three months in a row to have the date moved back to where it was for the past 6 years. It's not a Chase Bill, it's a non credit card company fuel bill adopting "sinister old school" tactics that many credit card companies dropped several years ago.

These evil billing tactics include giving something like 10-14 days time to pay the bill from the date they actually mail the bill to me. This company has also changed the payment address to across the country, before it used to be in my state. This is really evil stuff, especially when they keep telling me that they will change due date back to the old date, and never do.

So I took the dog with me to the Post Office (Daily-Protest sign in the back window) and then to show to a family friend who has dealt with similar skin problems with her dog. I also bought some vegetarian dog food. The dog won't eat it. I heard the dog start to scratch in the middle of the night and I put her on my lap. She slept fine for several hours that way. When I woke up and left the room, she managed to scratch herself so much, it was as if to make up for the time she lost while sleeping on my lap.

The dreaded prednisone treatment seems to be the only recommendation to reduce skin itchiness that actually works, but over the long haul will shorten a dog's life. So will all the scratching.

You can help promote the protest against Chase Bank by making a daily-protest.com sign and posting it where people will see it. Just be careful that the sign won't blow into traffic, doesn't have sharp edges, or doesn't distract people or obstruct their view. The back window of a PARKED CAR in a busy supermarket market can prove very effective, but please DO NOT DRIVE OR BACK UP with the sign in the back window, not even for one second. But if you work in a store, just leaving a Daily-Protest sign in your backwindow for that time period will help this site get hits.

There is no advertising on this site so the hits are not a ploy to make money.

Places to put such a sign include bulletin boards, store front windows, or a bumper sticker. Even a workplace countertop can work, just get permission if it isn't your space. lol, you can also try protesting in front of a Chase Bank near you, but the other ways may prove just as effective.

Daily-Protest Breaking News, CHASE BANK LIES ON NATIONAL TELEVISION about their Opt Out Policy.

Well, here is the original material from MSNBC.
The Video above does not scale down in size far enough for me to post the entire image, however the audio is intact and you can hear the claim made that Chase offers opt out options to all of their clients even though they haven't done that with 400,000 of their best paying customers.

I can personally attest that less than one month ago Chase Bank refused to allow me to opt out after they increased the monthly minimum payment. Near the end of the youtube video below, Chase claims they allow customers to opt out. This is called a bold faced lie on national television.

One more thing. If we call the current monthly minimum payment one is making as making 100% of the required payment, than Chase actually jacked up the monthly minimum payment FROM 100% TO 250%, this is another way of explaining the increase rather than simply saying it was a 150% increase, which makes it sound like it was less than doubling the increase.

ORIGINAL YOUTUBE VIDEO BELOW HAS BEEN REMOVED WAS REMOVED, NOW WE ARE AT THE MERCY OF MSNBC AND HOWEVER LONG THEY CARE TO OFFER THE CLIP. Wow.

DAY-17 CHASE BANK PROTEST, making plans to gear up full speed again.

So Wednesday was a day of trying to figure out what to do next. Not just about my Chase Bank protest, but about my life and what career path I will take. I took care of my parents for the past 16 months, but I will be the first to say they took care of me even more.

Once dad stopped driving, I took him and mom everywhere, and I wish I could relive every one of those days.

--------------------------------------------------

I understand numbers very well. I want to be a paid gadfly, paid by the credit card industry, to tell them when their ideas are bad, or when they are OK.

--------------------------------------------------
Before taking care of my parents, I did video camera and editing work. Unless I could design my own non linear editing platform, (and I could design one that would be simple to use), I don't see myself editing anymore.

I think I have a pretty good eye for framing and lighting, so I may do digital still photography, but not for events such as weddings.

--------------------------------------------------

When it comes to the Credit Card Industry, I am concerned about the public display of glad handing that will be made by the politicians after they pass their credit card bill. However, there still will be no consumer advocate gadflies paid for by the credit card industry to balance out the boardroom greed that is ever present.

The media chose to talk about Pirates, Craigslist Killers, Child Abduction, Tea Party Protests, but they pretty much left alone the credit card industry, their theft of frequent flyer miles from the consumer, and the misery they are causing many many people by changing terms on existing debt.

I will not forget however, and I will continue my protest.

If there is no creation of a real consumer watchdog person or group, paid for by the credit card industry to watch over the credit card industry, we will fall short in what is good and right to do.

DAY-16 CHASE BANK PROTEST, Paying respects to my Father.

I had recently second guessed myself that maybe a couple of years ago my dad should have had chemotherapy. However, in 2007 his first BONE SCAN had just come back negative. Looking at the picture of my father up above from around that time my dad still looked like his prostate cancer was just not advancing that fast.

My father at least one other bone scan several months later. and it was negative, yet his prostate cancer was actually advancing to other places, everywhere but his bones. Yet we never told that other tests might have given us a better understanding of his cancer was advancing.

I only recently learned that CAT SCANS, not Bone Scans are more expensive and more definitive in tracking how far and fast prostate cancer has actually spread outside of the prostate but not reached the bones. However, that does not necessarily mean that one can treat prostate cancer and stop it once it has left the prostate even if it is detected earlier.

It is actually possible that if my father had been given chemo when he was still a robust man 2 years ago that maybe it would have knocked him and the cancer down, temporarily, and then the cancer would have roared back and did him in anyways, with the additional issue of him feeling bad from the time he got his chemo until his eventual demise.

Fair Warning, bone scans may reveal no cancer in the bones yet the prostate cancer is still steadily advancing towards other organs such as the liver, colon, or lungs. It is possible that watchful waiting may produce a better, as good, or worse result than chemotherapy. If anybody has their own experience with a family member they want to share, please do so. Everybody's situation is different. Maybe the doctors did us favor by only focusing on Bone Scans, I just don't know.

-----------------------------------------------

If you have a place you can post a Daily-Protest.com sign, please do. Just be safe and post it where it can't fall on anyone, distract anyone that is driving, or have sharp edges. Tell me what town you live in (via email), and I'll let you know if it generated any hits. I don't who or where someone is, the stat counter just tells me what city.

DAY-15 CHASE BANK PROTEST, analyzing my Chase Credit Card Bill.

My Chase bank credit card bill still has my old terms on it. Sure I'm glad. But can I really rest knowing that I don't even have opt out rights for when Chase does change terms. My other Chase bills did have changes. Fortunately those are for far less amounts, but they still misrepresented what the new terms would be and they had to send out a letter restating what the terms now are.

All I know is that I still have two Chase credit card bills that used to have a 5.99% interest rate for the life of the loan, and now they are 7.99% even though I was never late with a payment. Please read the mission statement of this blog to see that I cannot stop protesting until Credit card companies are fair and intelligent in the products they offer their customers.

Consumers MUST have the right to "OPT OUT' when terms are changed.

Day-14 Chase Bank Protest, Thanks for the Referrals in other articles around the web!

Daily-Protest.com is pleased to discover that others are providing a link to this blog in the comments section of articles about the credit card industry. Maybe some writers will see that it is ok to be brave and truthful about how wrong the credit card industry by raising interest rates, especially on their programs that promised life of the credit card loan low interest rate loans.

I won't be able to start protesting against Chase Bank until Wednesday, April 22, 2009 because my father's funeral is on Tuesday. However, I plan on coming back strong.

Please refer to prior articles to learn the various ways you can help. Daily-Protest appreciates it every time this blog is mentioned in the comments section of articles that discuss the credit card companies. Thanks again!

DAY - 13, CHASE BANK PROTEST, More Freeway Driving with the Daily-Protest.com sign in the Back Window of the Car.

I have decided to preserve my voice for my father's funeral services. When I protest, I yell my slogan, CHASE BANK, KEEP YOUR WORD! I can yell pretty loudly. I actually can lose my talking voice but still be able to yell. However, if I lose my talking voice before my father's service that would be a bad thing. I don't want to be in the position of not being able to talk, but being able to yell at my father's funeral service.

-------------------------------------------------

Our family was blindsided by the pre funeral arrangements that had been made and pre-paid for several years earlier. My father thought he was paying for everything, until it actually came time to call and make the arrangements for his funeral. We had to scramble to find an alternative casket, mortuary, and then church because the original contract and salesman had completely mislead us.

I won't go into the details but I can now offer you all some very important advice about pre-paying for your funeral plot, tomb, or mortuary services. When someone passes and a "conventional" funeral has been planned, there are several distinct steps that have to be taken. Body pick-up and transport to the mortuary, embalming, make-up and dressing, casket selection, viewing time, church time and the necessary personnel, religious speaker fee, death certificates, stationary, flowers, dvd photo montage, police escort, transport to burial, entombment or burial, plaque or headstone, engraving, vase, long term care and maintenance. I've probably forgotten a couple as well.

Funeral and mortuary facilities can deceive people by
SOMEby having their sales person assure the family that everything has been paid for. Years later, when it is time to use the pre-purchased plan, all of the things that were verbally promised are no where to be found on the contract.

This type of cemetery and mortuary scam could easily be stopped if all funeral and mortuary contracts listed ALL OF THE NECESSARY STEPS that will have to be paid for are actually pre-printed on the contract. Then the salesman has to initial the printed items that are actually being purchased.

If any of you have parents or you yourself have already purchased your burial spot and seem to think you have paid for everything, the odds are that you have probably only paid for a small portion of everything you will need. Review your contract NOW. If the sales person hand writes onto your contract what you are buying, what they are really doing is not revealing what you still have to buy. This is fraud and deception and can set you up for a false sense of security and a huge financial obligation when you can least afford it.

Chase Bank Protest - Day 12, Taking it to the Streets and Freeways of Los Angeles.

Today was spent making funeral arrangements for my father.

I put the
DAILY-PROTEST.com sign in the rear window of the car and we drove 80 miles in Los Angeles traffic going to our appointments for the day, most of the driveway was freeway driving. A bunch of it in stop and go freeway traffic. (for safety reasons I am not advocating anyone else do this).

It appears
DAILY-PROTEST.com picked up a few Southern California hits as a result! I drive extra carefully because the Daily-Protest sign does take up space in the back window so I am not advocating anyone else do this. I take many more quick glances out of both side view mirrors to make up for having less viewing area in the back and this safety technique is not something I can easily teach to others.

If you want to help reverse Draconian Credit Card decisions made by Chase Bank boardroom numbskulls who have no faith in the american people and are instead trying to capture as much of our wealth as soon as possible, rather than free it up, then join my protest, it's easy.

Just make signs with the words
DAILY-PROTEST.com and put them somewhere where others will see them. Just make sure your signs won't fall on somebody or into traffic. Your signs should not have sharp edges nor should they distract people who are driving or otherwise moving, or obsruct other people's view. Make the letters nice and thick so they are more visible. Hand made or designed on a computer, either is fine. Perhaps you can leave them on a bulletin board where you work, or on a counter-top. If you own your own business, it would be amazing if you could put a Daily-Protest.com sign in your store window.

If dozens of people put these signs up, this site would probably gain 50 hits a day, or more, and that's 50 more people a day we can educate about Chase Bank and their racketeering ways. I did not come up with the phrase racketeering. I told a doctor what I was doing and why, and they used the term "racketeering" to describe Chase's tactics, and I agree. Changing terms on an existing account and not allowing the customer the opportunity to say "I opt out" is racketeering in my opinion.

Chase Bank, soon to be known as Change Bank (as in the bank that changes terms, leaving their customers with only the change in their pocket) if they don't reverse what they have already started.

Chase Bank Protest - Day 11, Van Nuys Post Office on Sherman Way Pre-midnight and after midnight Protest against Chase Bank.

My father passed away this morning, now it was 12 hour later and at 11:30PM I was mailing my IRS payment at the Van Nuys station. Since I was already there, I decided to hold up my CHASE, KEEP YOUR WORD, protest sign along with my Daily-Protest.com sign for a while. It was a half hearted effort at best. I couldn't stop thinking about my Dad and my overwhelming guilt that I didn't slobber him with kisses and tell him how great a dad he had been.

----------------------------------

I made sure not to clog last minute traffic. I had a very carthartic talk with the hospice driver who came to pick the bed, oxygen machine and wheelchair.

If you want to help keep the protest going over the next couple of days, please make a sign that says Daily-Protest.com and put it somewhere where it can be safely viewed and won't fall on anybody or into traffic. Make sure the sign doesn't have sharp edges either.

No matter where you live, if you put up a couple of signs in a storefront or a parked car that is visible to others (please don't drive with the sign in the back window as that could be risky), I might be able to track if I get any hits from your city and let you know not who, but how many hits you helped generate.

Chase Bank Protest-Day 10, My Dad Passes and it was painful for me.

CLICK ON DAD TO ENLARGE.
My Father passed away yesterday. Even though I was with him most of the time over the past 2 months, I made a huge mistake and I will never forget it, and it hurts. I wanted to give him a ton of kisses to make up for the unnecessary guilt that others in our family had chosen to heap on him. However, I was afraid that by doing that, I would be telling him to die, that this was it. So I waited so as not to hasten his death.

He had to be changed that last night and he was so weak that he just sank into the air mattress. It took me half an hour to change him and I was so exhausted by then that I fell asleep sometime around 3 in the morning? When I woke up he was gone. I wanted him to know one final time how grateful I was for him and for being his son and to counter the stress, anxiety and guilt that he felt based on the narcissistic judgement by others of his life, and I failed.

My father thanked me several times over the past couple of months and said he wouldn't still be alive if not for my efforts. For me it was not an effort,I was grateful to be there when he needed a sip of water or had a special food craving, but I just wanted to him know one last time in no uncertain terms how much he meant to me.

A big part of my grief involved trying to file my nightly story for this blog even as he lay just three feet from me and was only hours away from dying. Filing my nightly stories is important to me because we have to fight back against paper violence. Paper violence is when some schmuck in a corporate board room makes a callous, uncalled for numerical decision that instantly causes grief and hardship to thousands of people, such as what Chase is doing with their Change in Terms on already existing agreements. These Change in terms involve raising monthly minimum fees 250%. Yet there was my father, and I blew it his final night and I am sitting here in tears as I write this.

As at peace that I am that I did everything for my father that I could, I feel I blew it the final night of his life, big time, and I blame Chase bank for that. I would protest 8 hours a day against Chase, every day, if I could earn a wage doing it. In the meantime, I will probably post less often over the next week as I prepare for my fathers funeral. Thanks Dad, thanks for my life and for you being in it.

Katalusis: Wake up, Mr. President: It’s the Failure of a Whole Model of Banking!

Katalusis: Wake up, Mr. President: It’s the Failure of a Whole Model of Banking!

CHASE BANK PROTEST, DAY-9. HOW YOU CAN HELP DAILY-PROTEST.com GROW EVEN IF YOU CAN'T PROTEST.

CLICK HERE TO ENLARGE PICTURE-YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE BY MAKING YOUR OWN DAILY-PROTEST.com SIGN.

The higher this blog goes in the stat rankings, the more people will be aware that the Credit Card Companies are putting a huge hurt on trustworthy customers. The more people who see this site, the more I can learn about the hardships that Chase Bank has put their customers through.  The biggest transgression by far committed by Chase bank is not allowing customers the right to opt out when the credit card company changes terms.

When we add in that Citibank and other Credit Card Companies are all about to renege on existing promises and life of the loan low interest rate agreements, we are talking about the victimization of well over a million people, perhaps as many as 5 million people who are having their world turned upside down by a bunch of elite, Wall Street Snobs who think we can't assemble and fight them.
CLICK HERE TO ENLARGE IMAGE. HANDMADE SIGNS SAFELY PLACED WHERE THE WILL BE SEEN BY OTHERS CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

How can you help stop Chase bank and force them to reverse course? Make a sign that says DAILY-PROTEST.com and put it somewhere safe where people will see it. Your signs will generate awareness for this site and can help Daily-Protest.com succeed in finding people that are being harmed by Chase Bank's increase in their monthly minimum payment demands.

I have a few rules for sign placement for safety purposes that you MUST follow if you want to help. This is to ensure that that nobody gets hurt and that neither you or I don't get sued.

An ideal place to put a
DAILY-PROTEST.com sign is in the back window of a PARKED CAR. You CANNOT start, drive, back up, or move the car in anyway with the sign in the back window as it will obstruct your view and endanger others and yourself. You also can't leave someone in the car if whenever the sign is posted for a few reasons I won't get into at this time.

If you work at a mall or some place where people will walk by your car during the day or even see it at night because of night lighting, you can help this blog generate hits, and spread awareness, without having to walk a picket line.

CLICK ON IMAGE TO ENLARGE. CAN YOU MAKE YOUR OWN SIGN AND PLACE IT WHERE IT CAN BE SAFELY SEEN?

Just place a
Daily-Protest.com sign where people walk by. Make sure the sign can't fall on top of people, or onto the ground where someone can trip over it. Make sure your sign won't blow away and into traffic. Make sure your sign is made of lightweight material and does not have sharp edges. Even if you put the Daily-PROTEST.com message on an 8 and 1/2 inch by 11 inch paper and leave it on a bulletin board where you work, or a counter top area, every hit that Daily-Protest.com gets, will help.

As the media continues to talk about Pirates and Obama's Dog and Tea Party Protests are being reported in a rather derogatory way, Let us not forget that the story of the everyday person who is being screwed over by Chase Bank is not being headlined by the mainstream media. Even as you read this article Chase is advertising their arrival in California by spending millions upon millions of dollars on commercials.

Besides the Credit Card Scandal already in motion, Chase's purchase of WAMU for literally a penny or two on the dollar must also be investigated.

Anybody recall the infamous California saying of the 80's,
Welcome to California, (Chase), now go home.

Chase Bank Protest, Day-8. When I don't Make it Out to Protest Some Days, it's because I am taking care of my Dad as best I can.

(Edit note - Although my dad's face looks yellowish in this picture, it turns out that the digital still camera I am using apparently has "gone yellow" a couple of times when it is first turned on. It was also the afternoon when I took that picture and the light coming in was bouncing off of some creme colored blinds. In other words, my dads actual skin tone still looked "normal"  to my eye when I took that picture but the picture shows up as yellowish on his face.)

My Chase Bank Protest, Day-8, was spent watching over my ill father who is under home hospice care. I could not leave him today, even under the care of anyone else, because he has a persistent hiccup and he is not able to down any liquids. When I protest, my dad is waiting for me to come home and be with him for the few days he has left.

My Dad has been a tough man his whole life. Friendly, but with his own earnest set of beliefs. One of my Dad's beliefs has been, "Keep your word". In this past year, many people didn't keep their word to my Dad. The local dentist who never made his top denture right and then tried to charge another 500 dollar lab fee.

The dental Insurance program for seniors in California is another example of how seniors are ripped off by offering such an attractive plan, that the dentists will upsell seniors with unnecessary work, or not do the work at all.

Even Rite Aid doesn't honor their 20% off first Tuesday of the month for seniors at all of their stores. I witnessed all of this disrespecting of my dad as I took him and my mother to all of their appointments and their store visits as well.

But before this past year, my dad lived a very full life. Even after he retired my dad had his victory garden that he started while still working, and then flourished the garden even more when he retired. Dad would send dried figs to our relatives in other states (and his dried figs are delicacies).

One year mom and dad grew ample tomatoes from our own California backyard so that we could can and have tomato sauce all year long. Orange trees that gave enough for orange juice for most of the year. Artichokes, Swiss Chard, lettuce, Fava Beans, cucumbers, eggplant, all of this on less than a 1/5th of an acre, did I mention the lemon, grapefruit, tangerine, parsimmons, and even Chedro grafted onto an existing lemon tree. A nirvana of fruit trees all on a 1/5th of an acre.

There are tens of thousands of stories turned tragedy because of what the credit card companies are doing. How many of them will actually be told by the media?

-----------------------------------------

Chase Banks arrogance in thinking they can unilaterally change terms while giving their customers no choice motivates me to stop them before they infect other corporate giants into thinking they too can be way above the law. My Dad's prostate cancer has taken over his body, meanwhile Chase's banking actions are taking over the lives of hundreds of thousands of people, stealing their time as they try and pay Chase money that Chase does not need, and money that they are illegally demanding.

Every day I have to choose, do I apportion some of my precious time spent with my father towards my Chase Protest, or do I not protest, not even for an hour a day, so that I can be with my father all of his remaining time.

Thanks Chase, thanks for being every bit as evil as the cancer that runs through my dads body.

Stephen Cutler, is Cutler the Smoking Gun behind Chase Bank's Recent Hostile Credit Card Actions Against their most Trustworthy Customers?

There is some very interesting information at Change in Terms.com about Stephen Cutler.

Did you know that back in 2001 Stephen Cutler was an SEC enforcer and fined Chase Bank 1 million dollars for not being able to document where 46 billion dollars of money was! Eight years later and Mr. Cutler is now chief legal counsel for CHASE! Cutler's one million dollar fine against Chase's 46 billion dollars of missing money is the equivalent to fining somebody 1,000 dollars for not being able to account for 46 million dollars in missing funds!

Mr. Cutler used to work for the SEC, now Cutler is chief counsel for Chase Bank. Does anybody know anymore about this Stephen Cutler? Wasn't the SEC the organization that ignored the Bernie Madoff warnings for several years. Is Mr. Cutler the "cleaner", or the "terminator", doing all the dirty work for everybody else?

I found this comment on
skeptical Texas CPA, Who is Stephen Cutler? "In his speech, SC states, "the subjects of our enforcement actions in the past two years include ... J.P. Morgan/Chase". I kid you not. Then SC joins JPM about 25 months later. One can question how vigorous the SEC's actions are against its staff's prospective employers. Wait, didn't we see something in the press in the past two years that might bear on which enforcement actions the SEC takes on? Didn't Gary Aguirre (GA) allege the SEC fired him on 1 September 2005, about five months after SC left, because GA wanted to depose MS's CEO, John Mack, in connection with an insider trading investigation of hedge fund Pequot Capital? Didn't Charles Grassley conduct Congressional hearings about this? Was SC ignorant of GA's allegations while he SC was at the SEC? "On 5 October 2006, the SEC recommended no action be taken against Mack",v Note SC joins JPM 68 days later. Neat. Did JPM reward SC for his work for MS at the SEC? SC couldn't join MS, so Wall Street found a nice sinecure for SC at JPM. Is that what happened? Ladies and gentlemen of the blogosphere, you have heard the evidence, now render your verdict."

It would seem to me that anybody who is friends with Stephen Cutler needs to be investigated.

Day Seven of Chase Bank Protest in Southern California, A Recap of the Entire Week.

Today was Easter and the day was spent with my elderly parents. I wasn't sure how protesting on Easter would come off. It seems like the kind of day people would just be chilling and if they see some guy protesting about Chase bank it might not go over as well as on practically any other day.

Anyways, I plan on doing a "make-up" hour tomorrow for today.

I also want to take a moment and recall five people that I interacted with this past week during my protests. The first was Klaus. I really don't get what he was about. It seems a lot of what he said wasn't true. He said that the employees at the former WAMU at 6633 Topanga Canyon that was now a Chase Bank liked working for Chase better, and that they were paid better. Yet the Chase Bank at 6400 Platt Ave. in West Hills claims that there were no raises of any kind when Chase took over. hmmmm. Klaus seemed to not listen to me when we spoke, he seemed to have all of his answers pre-made and if I asked him a question he sort of went back to his talking points, which actually had nothing to do with the purpose of my protest.

There was the local tow truck company that had a metal gate that made it easy to hand my Daily-Protest.com sign on his fence. However, probably because I didn't ask him first, he was kind of snippy when he came out, a bit rude as well. I didn't have the desire to tell him that our family had used his companies services in the past. Rather, I felt sorry for the guy. He's trying to protect what his without realizing that what Chase is doing with their credit cards will cost him business. The Owner comes out to give me a piece of his mind as I was taking this picture of the rainbow. Even one of his employees was snippy as he left. I think I recognized him as being one of the tow truck drivers that had actually towed a one of our cars home in the past. Luckily, the positive responses and interest far outweigh the occasional anti-protest no mattter what the protest is mentality that seems to reside in a small percentage of the population.

Then there was Chas, a younger gentleman who hates the government and wants to see it changed for the better. His friend held the Daily-Protest.com sign while we talked. He had actually walked by me the day before at another location, but that prior non-contact sort of nudged him into noticing me the second time around. Everything lays the foundation for future things. Success is usually built in steps.

MIke took the time to stop and park his car, talk, and even call a friend who also was angry at Chase, but for an entirely different reason. Mike's friend claims that WAMU was stolen by Chase for literally pennies on the dollar, which resulted in WAMU share holders getting royally ripped off. If this is true, then this just makes Chase's action against their best paying customers that much more reprehensible. Apparently, the head of the SEC is now running Chase. I am trying to recall if this person is cushy with the Barack Obama camp. This is starting to smell big time.

Finally, a rather skittish woman walking a poodle came by on Saturday at the Studio City rally. She hurriedly walked by me and make a snide remark that I didn't know what I was talking about. I said I didn't as she walked away, her poodle leading the way. I proceeded to tell her that I did know what I was talking about, that I was direct recipient of Chase's actions, and that 14 class action lawsuits had already been filed.

As I walked away she turn from being a third of the way across ventura blvd and came back and attempted to discuss the issue with me. The problem was she apparently was very rattled that I was even out there at all. Her friend had told her that something was up with Chase but she wasn't sure what it was. Perhaps she thought her own Chase mortgage or some other financial product was going to increase and she clearly would not be able to handle it.

When she found it was a credit card situation, she seemed a bit relieved, apparently she had jumped to a conclusion that I was out there for another reason. Of course it was her choice to not just ask me what my protest was about, and not to check ot the website address and learn. Remember what I previously wrote about divide and conquer strategy. Take out small groups of people at a time, and all the other groups are relieved it was not them that was target. The groups that already have been ripped off and nobody came to help them, they then smugly watch and do nothing as they see others get the same illegal treatment they got. That is called divide and conquer.

Anyways, the lady claimed my message wasn't clear. I asked her to come up with a four word slogan that is as easy to understand as
CHASE, KEEP YOUR WORD! as she walked away with her dog. She probably would have tried coming up with something and telling me on her way back, but I decided to leave as I had put over two hours already and I have other commitments that need ongoing, daily attention. I think my one two punch of a four word slogan, and the second sign having a website on it is a very effective way to raise awareness.

If Chase really want to accelerate money from consumers coming back into the bank, just give some incentives to customers rather than using heavy handed tactics such as unilaterally forcing customers to suddenly come up with 250 percent more in payments every month.

DAY - SIX, JP MORGAN CHASE BANK PROTEST AT 12051 VENTURA BLVD, STUDIO CITY.

Thanks to Destiny for taking the above photo of me.

12051 Ventura Blvd in Studio City is a very busy place. A lot of people go by this Chase Bank location and at on point the Daily-Protest stat counter found 21 out of 22 Daily-Protest hits were from California, (no addresses are listed by the stat counter, just cities), clearly people are interested in what Chase Bank is up to here in California. At least 8 of the hits were from I-Phones, perhaps the passengers in the cars are actually taking a moment to check out Daily-Protest.com right then and there.

With each passing day, as more and more people receive their Chase statements with the 250% increase in the monthly minimum, awareness of what the banks are doing will only grow. The more hits this blog receives, the more Chase will become aware of the hornets next they themselves started.

The more people that join my protest, the more likely that Chase will back down. It would take nothing more than a daily vigil in which people protest in one hour shifts at one Chase Bank, to make a lasting difference and reversal to what Chase has already done.

Besides myself, there were a couple of dozen protestors, all protesting different causes. Apparently a newstruck came out prior to my arrival and decided to label the entire protest "Republican". My personal belief is that my protest will protect democrats, republicans, independents and greens.

I believe the April 15th nationwide protests should not focus on our president but rather focus on how the banks are trying to earn back their losses much too quickly and in the process are harming hundreds of thousands of trustworthy americans.

DAY FIVE OF JP MORGAN CHASE BANK PROTEST, "They're Evil" shouts one couple as they wait at a light and see my signs.

Yesterday was Day-5 of my Chase protest Chase Bank in West Hills California. It was the second day in a row that car horns could be heard after viewing my signs. The car horns came every few minutes. I think the car horns escalate in the coming weeks as more and more people begin to actually see their credit card statements and their "life of the loan" low interest rates have actually been violated and changed by Chase, and Citibank, and Bank of America, and on down the line.

Approximately 20-25 cars honked their disapproval of Chase Bank and their approval of my protest against Chase Bank and their banking methods. One couple just yelled out, "They're Evil...." as they drove off.

I picketed from 6:55PM to around 8:00PM. Even though holding two signs at the same time was tiresome, at 7:45pm I had vowed to put in at least one hour a day, so I stayed and continued to protest, and am I glad I did.

About five minutes after checking the time, a car drove by and the person asked why I was protesting. I gave him a very brief recap, and he explained that he had a friend who was very upset with Chase as well. This driver then drove to the next driveway, parked, and walked over to me to explain that a friend of his wanted to a;sp protest against Chase.

Mike called his friend and it looks like the three of us, and maybe a few more, will be carrying on the protest in the future. Mike even took tonights photo. My previous photo, from Day-4, took me 45 minutes to capture because I had nobody help me shoot it. I had to first find an elevated place to carefully rest and position my digital still camera, and then I had 10 seconds to run into the frame and get set.

lol, the third picture actually came out pretty good last night, but I wanted to have one more just so i could have a choice. Thirty five minutes later I had a couple more choices to choose from. Tonight, Mike took two pictures of me, and the entire process took less than two minutes.

Besides taking tonights picture, Mike explained that Chase is trying to buy WAMU for like a penny on the dollar and then launder the difference while also collecting bailout money from the government. It wouldn't surprise me if that was true.
