Chase Bank, also known as "Change Bank", has changed terms on their low interest, life of the loan offers without offering an opt out clause to their customers. How could Congress, Bernanke, Barack Obama and others, choose to pretend it is ok to not allow customers to opt out when a bank or credit card company changes terms on an existing financial agreement?
This is the number one test of the integrity and mettle of a public figure, do they agree that consumers have the right to opt out of a change in terms, or not? So far, the answer is not, and you should be upset whether or not you have credit card debt.
